Default What is it and where does it go?

I am spending a couple of days with the front bumper off doing the usual mods and bumper realignment

As I took the bumper off a black plug fell out that looks as if it is attached to the front indicator wiring, drivers side. I can't see any obvious place where it will fit back in, does anyone know what it is and where it fits?

Thanks
Mike

It looks like the ambient temperature sensor. It fits into the front bumper on the driver's side.

On closer looking it looks as if it fits on a plastic flange which has broken off at some time in the past. Seems to be a bad design as it is very flimsy so I will have to fashion something to fix it back on.

Cannot see any place where it is broken off from, any tips on the best position for it.

Thanks again
Mike

Thanks, I've found the fixing point and it looks as if it has been broken off for some time. Shouldn't be too much of a problem to make a new one.
