Post Front coil springs

Hi all,
Just discovered my near side front coil spring has snapped in two on my '02 ZT cdt. Any suggestions as to preferred replacement and is it better to replace off side one as a pair at the same time or can i get away with just the one? Any advice would be welcome

I have Sachs on the CDTI at the front - fitted about 3 months ago for the same reason. They are fine.

Would have gone for the genuine Delphi item at roughly the same price from Best of British but unable to get my particular colour combination at the time.

Always replace as a pair and maybe worth replacing the strut top bearings also as they will be off and cost only £30 for the pair from DMGRS.

be advised the strut pinch bolt can be very very tight. 6 sided socket is best

Consider fitting the recommended tyre protectors at the same time.

MGR Recall: http://www.mediafire.com/view/3maguj...structions.pdf

They're now about £15 a pair on eBay, etc.

I had a broken rear spring on my tourer and also fitted the Sachs from ECParts.
They are made by Boge, Germany for ECP.
I swear my car is better with these than the originals. Sorry, I'm not awfully convinced by this Rover coloured marking thing.

Definately change both. I had both front springs snap within a month of each other.

Wayne.
