I'm not sure if there is an official procedure Phil, but I always remove the red charging lead from the recharged battery 1st then the black second. Then reconnect the black terminal of the car followed by the Red last (there is usually a spark as you do it)
If jump starting from a donor car, for me its red off from the newly started battery 1st then red off from the donor one, followed by black from the newly started battery and black off the donor one. As I say, I don't know if that's the official sequence, but I haven't blown myself up yet |

I guess I asked a simple question at the wrong time. It's not my fault that George got banned or that he threw down the gauntlet. He is a friend and I will miss him. Sad.
I will have to do 50/50 or phone a friend |

Disconnecting and reconnecting a battery, remove -ve cable first then +ve. Reconnecting its +ve first then -ve.

George will be missed in here big style, there will be a huge hole left by him, but he had his last chance and he blew it, so must take the hit.

Hi Richard I liked George very much but I am afraid that he did overstep the mark here very much and the mods had no choice there is no call for that type of language what so ever
