Default Cruise Control not working?

Chaps

When looking for a car; at the top of the list was Cruise Control due to the long distances that I do..

The light on the button turns on and off..
But nothing on the dash comes on nor does it Set when I select Set on the steering wheel?

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Lift the clutch pedal from underneath with your foot. I have to do this sometimes on mine

If that doesn't work, take the panels off under the steering wheel (nice & easy) and try and shine a torch up to the tops of the clutch & brake pedals, you'll see a box on each with wires, be quiet and depress the pedals if you hear a click then the switches are working, my clutch pedal one had come away from it's holder and required a bit of loctite to hold it in position.

You may not need the loctite some just pop back into place..

I lifted the clutch with my foot and no joy
So I guess I need to check the box and wiring on the clutch pedal..
