I would suggest leak back, maybe just temporary leak back due to some disturbed grit during the service.

If my pumps have not been changed since new, they are up at around 107Kmiles.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

So the BMW pump is the same unit as the 75/ZT twin pump diesel ITP?
If so, that's not been widely discussed before and clearly cheaper than the usual after market ones.

Was the fuel filter changed during the service? I found that mine was a little reluctant to start initially after changing the filter.

Update.. the car has been fine ever since, so presumably it was a hiccup due to muck in the fuel or something...

Hope so James but for future reference if the difficult starting returns Hogweed had a similar intermittent fault and it turned out to be the ECM, sorted by Brian and his wand.

The Origianl OEM pumps (white top not black copies) vary vastly from failing at 50k to lasting 150k miles.

Same goes for the original Intank pumps too.

Brands to avoid
We've tried a few.
