Ouch!!
Just parked my car in what I thought was a clear space in Waitrose Oundle.
Returned home to find that someone had crunched into the offside of my front bumper causing a large dent and pushing in the fog light. The only time I was not in the car was in the waitrose park and I had deliberately as usual parked away from any other vehicles. This almost certainly means a replacement bumper. If anyone knows where I can get a replacement Mk1 starlight silver (MMB) front bumper I would be very grateful. If not silver then I suppose that I could have one repainted to match. Thanks in anticipation Peter |

This is just so annoying, whoever did that must have known and then quickly did a runner before you returned. Hopefully one of the traders here can help.
It maybe worth asking Waitrose if there is any CCTV available, you never know. Hope you get your pride and joy sorted very soon.

I've been trying to contact Waitrose to see if there is any CCTV but cannot get a reply (not by a human anyway)

Pop into the store, these larger retailers are surprisingly accommodating, its worth a try. You may well not get anywhere but at least you can't say you didn't give it a go.
EDIT: Really wow, like the other driver didn't know they did that

Well maybe not quite as bad as I thought.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3pxapicfwa...58-12.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/56gq9kyo1w...58-10.jpg?dl=0 My local mechanic has pushed out the damaged area (with the help of a heat gun I think) So I may get away with some repair and respray without having to change the bumper. Peter |
