Easter afloat

Up to the boat after work this afternoon, not sure whether to stay at our marina or take it out onto the Broads with all the other Easter Bank Holiday madness

Your new boat TV looks good Jeff - and is a bit bigger than my Navall 3 screen! I'll just have to use the binoculars when I watch it from the other end of the cabin!

You Jest but the new TV has both Freesat and Freeview tuners in it so it's a possibility lol

Looks good Geoff. Can't have too many home comforts on a boat in my opinion...
TV, Central Heating, autopilot..... Not forgetting hot water bottle, bottle of favourite drink be it Malt Whisky or Fettiman's Ginger Beer....

As a footnote...some of the best waterborne entertainment can be watching others making err, a pig's ear out of berthing etc. Not that it is a good idea to be seen laughing of course...

There is a harbour in Lefkas in Greece at a place called Vasilliki ( a well known windsurfing spot with good reason) where watching the attempts of some folk tackling stern to berthing in their yachts ....

This only good sport after you have made a satisfactory job yourself!

We have the added entertainment of the locks in our boating area. On a busy day families come with their picnics to watch the hire boats get in a tangle, and the kids earning a few pounds by helping out. Main disasters are crashing off the walls/gates, tieing up tight and then letting water out or getting stuck on the top cill.

When we are going through a lock we always let any hired narrowboats go in first, I dont think a glassfibre boat will stand a chance against a 60 feet steel barge with no brakes!

No locks is one big advantage of the Broads Jeff. A couple of pics to show the "fun" that you are missing out on
