Hi

I used sealing compound (green colour) from Vauxhall Part no:90542114.
No problems anymore.

I am sourcing the exact OEM O ring seals as Kaisers seals are a tad too large in my opinion.

Without taking the whole thing to bits I can't see where it's coming from Jules - it's either the O rings or the hose clips (methinks the clips). Two of the recesses in the head are full of antifreeze and now it's chucking it onto the floor.

Hi all,

I own a Rover 75 2.0 V6 in Hungary. Recently I had to replace the engine in it, and I wanted to be on the safe side so I ordered a metal housed thermostat from Kaiser.

I would like to report that it is working perfectly! (I have done around 3000 km since it was fitted) It even does not really seem to increase the time for getting the engine warm. I hope it will prevent my beloved car from overheating for a long time.

I would recommend to fit the metal house thermostat for anyone!

If you are thinking on getting one and you have any questions about it, please let me know!

I have revisited the forum for the first time since 13 March 2008, i.e. before this topic even started.

I think my thermostat is leaking and I would also like to see if I can get one of these.

Hi everyone I'm hoping you can help me.
I have been reading all the treads on these aluminium thermostat housings and was hoping that we can still purchase them my plastic one is on its way out and thought what better then to upgrade it to one of these aluminium ones that are serviceable
Look forward to any help in getting one
