Morning All.
Hi it's now Monday morning and have taken the last two pics of the refurbing of my steering wheel all now polished well worth doing even if i say so myself. :-D
Settled down nice over night ready for a little polish later after a cuppa coffee and bacon sarny.
1
First coat of Beeswax on the wood and leather polish on the dyed part of the wheel.now for another coffee
2
I may give it a couple more coats of polish later today but the finished jobs seems nice worth doing.

Default Did mine too

Some close up detail to show the extent of the wear on both sides.

I did it over three days, coat in the morning and again in the evening.

I think it came up really well, thanks Stubie!

Couple of handy tips while waiting for the dye to dry...
1. Make sure you don't need to rive anywhere just after you've applied it.
2. Be careful where you grab the wheel as you exit the car.

They have both come up a treat . Good job guys.

I've got the stuff to do mine as it is not quite as bad as yours was Sprinter.

As you say it's a case of not needing to go anywhere for a bit.

Going to be touching my seat up too. (that sounds just a tad wrong but I know what I mean! )

Regards. Steve.

HI guys ...When prepping the wheel prior to dying it is it best to condition
the leather first or wait until it has been coloured then condition it
And how many coats will it need...From smoke stone gray to sandstone beige

HI John.
I just cleaned mine of with some antibactiral wipes dryed it off i gave mine several coats but in a shorter time than Paul did, looking back now i too should have done it over a few days it give the dye more time to take effect between coats, once done i sprayed with mr sheen, as your is smoke stone gray i would do over a two day period dont for get it is always easy to add more untill the desired effect is reached. Good look well worth doing in my opinion and photo's do not lie,
