Default Rover 75 V8 LHD For Sale.

Spotted this at a Netherlands dealer:

http://www.classicpark.com/car/1834/rover-75-v8

€20K isn't bad - they must want them a lot more over there .

Yep. Been up there in Boxtel, southern Holland for a couple of months now.
Bit more info in post #50 here on the Two-Sixties:
https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc26...FOR-SALE/page4
#827, Originally exported to Belgium at manufacture, it lived there until it just popped up on the Dutch side of the border. Went to look at it. OK but nothing special. They hadn't even bothered to was and polish it! and LPG to boot.

Prices are generally higher here than the UK; very few LHD cars available, even less of the Rover 75V8 variant. A couple have been advertised from between €20K and €29K recently. I believe this is the only LHD currently available in any country at present. You get about 2 to 3 a year if you are lucky. Hens' teeth!

I'm lucky enough to have 3 of them .

The valuations are very interesting. I got a value from We buy any Car.com
for my one owner, 7000 mile car.

I did think about offering it for sale at the valuation they offered, but I wasn't sure I'd get many takers.

Anyone be prepared to pay £420.00 for it?

The second valuation I got was for the ex-Rover publicity shot car with 25K miles.

They were generous enough to offer £260 for this one .

A joke of course.

... now if they were "south-paws" you could even make double those figures (at a push)

I can tell you WBAC aren't.

They're pathetic con artists. Actual valuation is probably nearer 7k.

Agreed 100%, my neighbour took his mint 3 year old car in as he wanted to try and get a deal on a new car, they offered £2000 for a Fiesta with less than 20k on the clock and full history, they fetch £2500 more than that at car auctions. They tried to tell him it had been resprayed and it looked like it had been in an accident, unlikely as he had it since new.

What do they say, Steve? "We steal any car"?
Should be made illegal, but would be difficult to embody anything into law. (Even attempts to stop the multi-thousand per-cent 'Pay-day loans' are ineffective. Just delays the inevitable bankruptcy by a couple of months).

They are the same kind of despicable loan-sharks. Sad that some folk fall into the trap or feel they have no other choice.

Schisters. Aren't they owned by British Car Auctions?
