Try asking Jules, he has fitted loads of fuel pumps, I'm sure he can help.

Have a real good look at all the connections/electical plugs in the area you were working in, I changed my u/b pump last month and accidentally knocked off the fuel rail plug. Check the plug on top of the fuel filter and make sure the pump plug is fully home.

"Ward" kindly told you how to contact Jules..

If you keep the fuel level above 1/4 the intank pump won't ever cause problems...

Personally I had jules replace both my pumps on a "better safe than sorry" basis.

The in-tank one is a real pain to replace, watching Jules do it was a real trial for me, I needed a lie down afterwards...

With a half a tank of fuel or more you can forget the intank fuel pump. Have you checked the fuel filter plug is pushed fully home? If not the engine won't start as it needs to register fuel pressure at the filter to allow the injectors to operate. Should read 4 volts if you pin it.
