Question rear window wiper query

now that the winter warm up is on (briefly im told), i thought id get a couple of wee jobs done on the zt.
electrics are not my bag, so i'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. When i start the car the rear window wiper comes on? when i switch the window wipers on on the front, the rear window wiper comes on? The only way to stop it is to switch the rear window wiper on and then off, and then next time you intermittent wipe the front i need to keep on switching the rear wiper on then off......its driving me mad.
I dont know where to start on this one, so if anyone can advise it would be appreciated.

i dont about it coming on when you start but mine does the rest as you describe if you put it on intermittent wipe the back comes on as well when you put in reverse.the only thing i can think off have you changed the head unit recently as if the switched and un switched wires are wrong it will cause wiper problems.some think to do with a pusle being sent to the bcu

funny you should say that as i did change the head unit? albeit for an identical replacement, and since i did the stereo will not retain station memory!!!!!
thats my second job to fix.

My ZTT has started doing this!! I have not changed anything electrical recently. Any idea what may be causing it??
