William.A.Lewis in Shrewsbury have opened a small MG Motor dedicated showroom - before this they had an MG sign nailed on their Renault showroom.

They must be selling more than 1 a month then. I'd consider an MG 6 DTI but I don't think the UK operation will last the warranty out due to the very small sales that they are currently having. I think the MG 3 / 5, both of which are ugly IMHO, will be launched too late to the UK market and will be out of date when compared with the competition. A shame really.

I've seen the MG5 reviewed as ok. Not as good as a focus/golf but not bad. I wouldn't be too worried look at kia/hyundai in the past now look at them. they've come on leaps and bounds and have some nice cars on sale.

If that is Luffield, I think Citroen had something to do with that. As did Toyota with west riding.

RRG (West Riding) Bradford had a separate showroom from Toyota so nothing to do with Toyota and Luffield had MG for ages alongside Citroen. I think its the lack of sales that are causing the dealers to depart. Why would Summit pack it in? I think its a shame as the MG6 is a decent car but i've only ever seen two on the road

It is frustrating. I think a small high performance diesel MG6 tourer would go down quite well. Sadly people buy with practicality in mind these days. There are plenty of makers building medium estates. I think that is what the market desires.
