Default Where find Original Genuine/high quality water pump? 1.8 petrol.

Hi there,

Think I've a leaking water pump on my 1.8 Petrol 75. I'm looking for a replacement pump, and I really want to get a better, more reliable one than a cheap aftermarket one.

I see on Rimmer Bros, all their pumps have evaporation chambers. Is it not better without one of the evap chambers?

If so where's the best place to go? DMGRS has one, but don't think it's an original part.

Thanks in advance,
Rķan P

All post 2001 genuine pumps have the evaporation chamber casting, however if you don't want it you can simply hacksaw it off

Haha Nothing like a bit of rash engineering with a hacksaw!
Thank you for clearing up that info though Brian. So that would mean mine has the evap chamber? I can see a leak so aslong as you keep a close on coolant levels, which I do anyway, it'll make no difference if you have evap or not.

There's a kit on eBay for timing belt and water pump for £56, genuine parts looking at picture, seen as the belt has to come off may aswell fit new for few quid extra.
