That's a volume increase of around half a litre, which I measured using my experimental split tank.

This is the water level set about 'MIN'.

Using the calibrated beaker, I added 450ml more water - -

which brought the level to about 5mm lower than the top of the fins.

Clearly, this apparent increase in the volume of your coolant isn't due to variations in ambient temperature/pressure from one inspection to the next.

I suggest you have a carbon dioxide test done on your coolant. Either a garage can do it or you can buy simple DIY test kits on eBay.

Get that radiator changed, it's likely bunged up with Kseal
Yes I know it was a fairly recent replacement, but it preceeded the addition of the devil brew 😡
I have a decent secondhand one you can have for free

Thanks Brian, really appreciated, I will save up some pennies and get it to Turbo Dave- in the next couple months hopefully. I need the PAS pump replacing and a ball joint doing anyway. Just hope it doesn't go bang in the meantime.

I Think if much more goes wrong with this then will be getting rid- love driving it but just cant keep throwing money I dont have at it- the wife will go potty when she hears about this ...

I had to replace the radiator after K-seal had been in too. She still gurgles now, as I think it could do with a matrix as well, but she runs 93-94 mostly, so am not panicking too much about that. Brian is right, devil brew is too nice a name

I just mentioned to the wife that instead of throwing money at Greyscale we should "consider" selling her series 2A and buying this

She, the kids and the dogs are no longer speaking to me

By the cringe that advert is hard work, does he mention 38000 miles and SMC service history less than four hundred times, and the price

If you want a car with those sort of wheels fitted, and finished in Sports Primertallic with heated memory walnut windows, I know a man selling one

Get Monty to chuck the radiator on, it's not a bad job
