Longbridge final sections to be knocked down Jan 13th 2020
News just out
CAB 1 & CAB 2 assembly buildings and the paint shop , The round house is protected and the sales centre is kept for MG car sales and the gatehouse. Kremlin not on the saving list yet!!! OMG That leaves just a tiny section left Monday it all kicks off MG Rover Longbridge finally gets killed off January 13th 2020 Feel sick |

it could be called progress, but swopping a factory for housing estate , not so sure on progress.........

If it means less homeless people it will be progress but I am sure it will be more houses that only well paid can afford not the one bedroom flats or houses most areas need.

The problem with new housing estates is they need infrastructures like JOBS to support them, like what you have mentioned, however no factories with WELL PAID JOBS means "like you said"
no one can afford them and the grounds and space of these new homes is 20 foot square kind of thing so NO "living recreational space" which also bad for your state of mind. the point is YOU NEED FACTORIES and well skilled jobs like MG Rover, not to knock them down for tiny houses for £400000 each with no space. i would rather St Mowden sell it to another manufacturer or industry and create well paid jobs. not MORE AND MORE HOUSES with no local jobs to support them |
