Default Buying Legal Number Plates

I thought I would treat the ZT to a new front number plate along with everything else lately.

It seems borders, 3D lettering, slogans, side badges with background colour are all legal.

Just not sure about backgrounds, such as the honeycomb option.

Has anyone used online number plate custom facilities when buying a new legal plate ?

I am sure a model of tvr uses honeycomb plates as standard as it is lit from behind! What are you trying to customise? most badges to the side of a plate aren't actually legal

I've just been searching the rules and regulations, it seems the honeycomb background is now an MOT failure.

Also only certain flags and national identifying letters can be used.

I was going to have a MG logo badge as the side badge where you would normally have the GB flag.

Oh well.

Hmm must be too reflective for their cameras! Yeah only nationality flags or gb signs at the side, I have mg badges underneath the registration on a pair of plates in my wardrobe, haven't fitted them yet as I can't be bothered

Can a small text slogan be used along bottom of plate, this is normally where a garage name would appear where the car was sold.

Some plates I see have a personal text or name, I done this years ago on my Capri's.

But! I think the rules are now, you have to have name or postcode of the supplier of the plates, is this true ?

Yes you can, the BS mark (I think that's what it is called) is what is required at the bottom of the plate
