rover 75- con- se v6

Default central locking problem

the nsr door on my 75 con se ,locks with the remote fob or key,but the button wont pop up when i release the locks

any ideas?

Does it move when you press the fob unlock button again, or from the console switch? They often don't complete the motion and only partly operate.

Have you tried lubrication?

Does it open when you operate the inside handle? If not, the connecting rod may have come off.

They're funny things, these pesky door latchs, (and made in Gemany too!). They are a common fault item with replacement part costing around £70. Your fault symptom is the same as I had with the driver's door last year.

As Moonstone says, can you report back on the suggested diagnostic, remembering that the three non-driver doors need two presses on the key button to unlock.
