I hope you dont mind Bob (if you want deleted, please let me know, or a moderator), but after reading Harrisop's very moving post, and your photos, just made me think 'Woof' was looking down on you all.

So many wonderful words on this thread,I think it's fair to say Mike had a great send off,Bonnie & myself made a mad scramble to get one child into school and a newborn ready for the trip down from Romford, after a standstill on the M25 we were sure we would miss the chance, but just 5 mins late we made proceedings as they began,Mike was a true friend and car enthusiasts that I was privileged to have known and had at Southeast meets over the years,Phil told me how much he admired what I did and passed on a gift from Mike that I will treasure for the rest of my life,we shall always miss him and meets will never be the same without his character there,I never made it to the hospital having started a new business venture and Bonnies pregnancy being fraught with complications, but Mike did phone and surprise me just a couple of weeks before he passed,he was still determined to make it to the Kings arms,in that telephone conversation,I am not sure if he thought he would,or was phoning to say goodbye, what I do know is,come January if I could guarantee one man would be waiting for me at the Halfway house,it would be him,R.I.P. Mike.

That's a nice write-up and very nice send off, well done to all concerned, and well done Mike, for inspiring people to provide it.

Dawn andI have just picked up Mikes funeral it was really brilliant he had an excellent turnout well deserved, we used to have some interesting conversations Mike was set in his ways and never held a grudge against anyone, farewell Mike you are being missed already we will remember you with fondness.
