Well while at work I've washed it. Checked tyre pressures
Checked all fluids & plems. So just waiting to go home so I can give it a good polishing then I'll sit back and admire it lol

Stripped the back interior and did the drain mod on the nearside.

I may get round to the offside tomorrow but I think rain is coming in around the side window.

Today I checked the front offside and found it had already been done. Checked the plenum drain, vacuumed out some leaves and rodded it. There's no tide mark on the pollen filter so I don't know if it was a problem or not, but I was getting water coming in the blanking plug under the bonnet release. I've left the trim panel off so I can more easily see where it's coming from - it is worrying close to the light control unit and in heavy rain the offside headlight was flickering on and off (even with the ignition off).

Anyone know what the white plug at the end of some wires under the plenum cover is for, and what the black plastic, er, thingy on the left driver footwell trim panel is for?

Spent a little time with shadow today....

She got 2 new strut top bearings & mounts (god its easier on the zed than the 75), 1 new steering rack gator, hydromount check up, a pair of lexus style rear lights and a quick tickle round the nearside wing sound deadening....

well and truly jacobs'd now...

Having had my diesel tourer since the beginning of the year and watching the temperature gauge never get to halfway I thought it was time for the mod.
Bought the inline stat from DMGRS a few weeks ago. Using a borrowed Dremmel made short work of removing the fixed metal band from the top hose and a mix of washing up liquid and Vaseline made the insertion of the stat not too difficult. Anyway, after putting in some more coolant and screwing everything back together I took it for a drive up the dual carriage way. The gauge got to 9 o'clock fairly swiftly and the ODB showed 87 degrees. Back in the 30mph zone it stayed around 84/85 degrees. Happy now. Just hope it improves my MPG.

Removed the front subframe on the ZT, got distracted by other work commitments, and left fitting the new clutch until tomorrow.

It was really nice working on the car today, 15 degrees....spring is here

Spring has sprung it seems so took advantage. Clutch on 75 has been slipping since Christmas.

So replaced the clutch and slave.

Getting faster 6.5 hours, third one I've done though.

Must admit the Tazu slave (master already done) is so much lighter to press than the LUK I put in the ZT.
