In so far that the payer and buyer never actually see each others bank details then it's safe.

In so far as how many scams are running on there or how easy it is for someone to keylog your login details... that I don't know, but so far I've been happy with using PayPal.

To date I have done over 14,000 transaction with them and never had a single problem - I'd say they were safe enough

I've used it for quite a few years now with no problems at all! (touches wood/head)

Integration is very good. Helps smooth out transactions and makes for effortless buying/selling.

I always insist on using PayPal when I buy things and strongly urge any buyers of my for-sale items to use PayPal too.

Fine if you are a buyer but you need to be careful if selling. ALWAYS post recorded delivery, otherwise there is the risk of a chargeback whereby the buyer claims item has not arrived.

Thanks for your input, I only intend to buy anyway its just the wife to be has found some reasonable bridal stuff she wants me to bid on and I've never done it before and I'd only use Paypal anyway. I guess I'm an ebay virgin
