Default Two non-essentials I'm glad I haven't got!

Reverse sensors and rear electric blind. Hardly a day goes by without somebody saying they've got a problem with one or the other. Any other non-essentials you're pleased you haven't got?

Chad.

not every one who has these fitted has problems.mine are fine the sensors that is and i find them very handy.fbh fitted no problems.highline retro fitted works great.folks only tend to post about these items when they go wrong.also i think you find out of the many owners who have these fitted the percentage is quite small.

I have fitted reversing sensors from Maplins. They work fine, apart from the reverse light switch packing up; does that mean reverse lights are non essential? I also fitted a manual rear blind; cheaper and nothing to go wrong.

To be fair, I think you will see a lot of these problems on here, because this is where people come with their problems. I worked in the motor trade for many years and there is a tenancy to only see the customers with problems; the ones that don't have a problem, don't come in to tell you everything is fine. Overall, I think most things on our cars are robust, but even the best things wear out in the end.

I love my reverse sensors, so much so that now my sounder has given up the ghost (sensors are fine and working) I am desperate to get it fixed.
My retrofitted electric blind I could do without, as I have a mg teddy bear on my back parcel shelf and it stops the blind from going up anyway lol.
It is nice if you get a *** head driver (usually a clapped out BMW) behind you, to put the blind up as if to say,'I can't be bothered to look at you ' lol

My reverse sensors work fine but must admit they are a bit of a pain when reversing into the garage
