My car is not a leaning post... Am i wrong to be annoyed?
Sorry for a somewhat negative post here everyone but is it just me that finds it both rude and highly disrespectful to sit on or lean on someone else's car?
Just because my car may not be the cleanest or shiniest doesn't mean i don't treat my car with respect. I would be grateful if people would do the same for my car. I WOULDN'T dream of leaning on, let alone touching someone else's car without their permission. I thought some others at our meets would feel the same but having seen the behaviour of some of our members last night at a meet, I guess not. The only reason I didn't say anything at the time is because I didn't want to put a dampener on the mood. Please, stay the hell OFF my car, it is not a bench or a leaning post!!! That is all. Rik.

I agree that it is very rude.
Once at a meet, a guy who hadn't even spoken to me sat on the slam panel of my car, which I thought was very rude. I didn't say anything though, as I knew exactly how clean my slam panel was and thought it served the chap right for being so rude

Got to agree with you there Rik. What a liberty! I know our cars have a reputation for being extremely comfortable, but on the exterior.....? Very disrespectful in my opinion.
Chad.

I am with you, however in the same circumstances I think the air would have been "electric" to say the least at the time.

I am with you there. I had to tell someone today, not to lean on my car and they were most offended that I dared mention it. What is it about some people. They do not just get it. On the bumper, on the rear lights cluster... ..I heard it crack and moan with the big butt that had sat against it.

Totally agree. Been to lots of show where I have asked people to get of my car. What's wrong with them . I'm sure the same people would complain if you sat on theirs.
