Daylight robbery!
Just bought a nilfisk power washer, got a decent deal or so I thought!
Came with all attachments ie patio cleaner, different nozzles, brush, FOAM LANCE! Well it was the latter one that persuaded me to part with my cash, as I have been after snow foaming my car for ages after watching a video on our very own valeting section. Well the foaming attachment is useless!! It just covers my car in soapy water that drips off immediately :-(. I have since read that I need to buy a 'proper' foaming attachment as the one that came with it is no good! The price?...around 50 English pounds!.! Not happy to say the least, that is half the price of the pressure washer. As far as I can see the only difference between the two is the proper Lance/bottle has a turnscrew that allows you to adjust the air ratio to allow it to foam up better. I am looking into trying to modify the existing attachment, anyone cleverer than me know if it could be done? |

I recently bought a snowfoam attatchment for my Karcher. That was from a seller on Detailing World (I think a Zymol agent) That was £49 but is so much different than the silly little thing that came with the washer.
If you think £50 is dear when I first started valeting I bought a new special foaming lance for my then larger Kranzle. this lance twisted so if you twisted one way you got water & the other foam & that was £170.oo 12 years ago. |

Wow!, well my pressure washer was only £110... Something tells me I'm going to have to bite the bullet!
Why don't manufacturers provide decent attachments with there products? |

One word - Cost as Mr/Mrs average arn't interested in snow foam or some other options & like buying a car they or whoever make money on selling additions.Daft thing is I scrapped the Kranzle washer ages ago & I never had it calibrated (fittings changed) to fit sibsequent machines so is just sitting there & I now use the other £50 attatchment but no snow foamer is worth bothering with in sunny weather.

If you haven't already bought the snow foam you might like to look into doing a pre-wash instead. The gadget that came with the washer is fine for applying that. I do it with some Bilt Hamber trial stuff that isn't being marketed yet and it works fine. There are other pre-wash solutions available, have a look on http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/index.php
