Default Flat on my back :(

Picked a piece of solder up off the shed floor yesterday, twang

Now flat on my back in bed unable to move without pain in the lower back.

Have a good weekend everyone
I have my grapes and single malt by the bed......

Hopefully i will be mobile to start my new job position on Monday.
I hate getting older.....

You have my full sympathy Dave, did something similar working in the garden a few years ago. Bent down to pick something up and felt a crunch in my lower back, thought that ain't gonna be good. The effect wasn't immediate but got progressively worse over a few days and developed into full blown sciatica, only way I can describe it is it was like having a really bad toothache in my hip. I could just manage to the kitchen to make a coffee and hobble upstairs to the loo to get rid of it! I'd nipped a disc which had swollen and trapped the nerve running to my right leg. Even with horse painkillers the only way I could get relief was lying on my side on the floor, think that must have taken the pressure off the nerve.
