Question To Mudflap or Not to Mudflap - That is the question.

Just a got a set of mudflaps to fit to my 75 but I can't make my mind up whether to fit them or not? I think the car looks better without them but I know it will save the car getting so mucked up. What do you people think? Your thoughts please.

Cut 20-25mm off the bottom of the front ones if you do fit them, stops them catching over speed bumps. If they do catch it's not only the noise it makes but also the movement of the flap on the wing rubs the paint away
don't let that put you off if you like them as I do. once you have carried out the modification they will be trouble free

I obtained a set, and like you was in two minds as to whether to fit or not.
In the end I did.
Yes they initially bothered me with the way the lines of the car were changed. But now I have got used to them being there.
The downside is they do sometimes catch/scrape on ugly bumps in the road.
The upside is, the car appears to stay cleaner after driving in wet weather.

Ultimately, the choice is yours!

Thanks for the tip I don't like the thought of the paintwork being rubbed away though!!

you could apply some clear vinyl to the area where they fit first
