On Robert's behalf I'd like to thank you all for your good wishes, no doubt when he's able he'll do it personally.
Hopefully once he's home I'll pop round and see him. Jim |

Just had the following text from Robert
Hi Jim. The physio girls say I'm fit to go back on the streets, so I'm hoping to be released on the world Saturday lunchtime. Hope you're all OK. Robert. |

Thanks For Your Concern & Best Wishes, Everyone
Thanks. Wasn't pleasant, but I've had worse!
Outcome is - so far - better than anyone has expected and - without a doubt better than I deserve. Thank you. Recovery exceeding expectations. Quote:

Cheers - luv to Jan Quote:
Well, I did get out on Saturday - and shortly after lost my Internet connection! So apologies for the delay in responding. I'd have been out in 3 days, if they hadn't been so busy 4th December, the day I was admitted. A far cry from when I broke the other end of the same bone, 5th December 1970 and had to spend the next 3 months in hospital, on traction. One reason I chose my username is, I have often come out OK in a bad situation - and I recognise my good fortune. A big thank you to everyone who's given me a thought, or said a silent prayer. Get yourself some Yaktrax, or something similar. I anticipate a full and speedy recovery.

quote .... Fortunately pelvis was undamaged Derek. Just a case of screwing the head back onto the shaft.
erm .... that sounds painful, a double entendre ? And 4th / 5th december seem bad days for you . declare them out of bounds or something . Last edited by DerekS; 14th December 2016 at 17:04.. Reason: extra facts |
