Indeed. Inquiring minds need to know! (before they forget why they're here and wander off muttering about the price of eggs these days - see Flyer's thread in the social section!)

I have heard its pretty rare for hgf on the v6 but not impossible. Also read that if you do a lot of short journeys this could account for the sticky substance?
But then again what would I know,im just a tractor owner

Hi again , now that the thermostat replaced is the water behaving and not running away ??if so it looks like that bit has been rectified...as mark has hit upon emulsification can occur if not doing long journeys...would suggest cleaning the sticky substance away and keep an eye on the area...may not be much help , and if wrong a more experienced member will be along in due course...enjoy France...

>>>Tweed caps are en vogue at the moment!! I might just invest in one <<<

Tweed is very poshe, But avoid Burbury...

Can you get to a local meeting before you go away? That would give some of our members a chance to have a good look at your car and hopefully sort the problems out...

I believe you have "Rover54" in your area who may check it over with his T4 for you, ( A pm to him and a bit-lot of eyelid batting may help with that)...

A very astute and clever young lady. Eyelids fluttered...and they all came running.

Good luck in getting your 'issues' sorted.
