Default AOL (yes, yes, I know) email problem

On the AOL email screen whenever I attempt to type the £ sign it appears as the # symbol (actually typing the # symbol also prduces the # symbol). However, typing the £ sign in any other programme (Word, Publisher, Excel etc) it appears how it should. As I send a fair few quotes by email this is something of a pain!

Trying to contact AOL for an answer is like trying to raise the dead - anyone here offer an explanation?

Ta

It sounds like the the wrong keyboard language/layout has been selected in AOL .

If a USA keyboard is picked it makes the @ show as a £ so sounds like something similar to your fault ?

I was thinking along those lines but can't find anywhere within AOL to alter the settings.

As a work round TF until you can contact AOHell or find a resolution yourself, how about typing your emails in Word, then cutting & pasting them into the mail client?

Hi Tatts

That's exactly what I've been doing - will have another bash at communicating with AOL LIVE (?) Help this afternoon!

Thanks

Try this,

Go to settings in the AOL toolbar, click on Font & Text and make sure it is on Ariel

That's a BOLD statement to make whilst you are SURFing Tatts - no point trying to soft soap me as you'll be upset when the bubble bursts.

Oh well, Happy DAZ
