Default Swedish Airforce Day

Tomorrow we are going to the newly opened Swedish Airforce Museum and look at the airshow and new Museum. I am a member of the Linköping Antique Car Club and will be taking the Stag and possibly the Volvo 144. The club has been asked to turn up withsome of the clubs cars. So everything from T Ford Volvo 164. Should be a good day..

That's one I've not heard before I'll drop it into my lectures a time or two.

I've given up on Cosford after it taking almost 4 hours to get off the base following the show in 2007. It wasn't much better in 2008 either so i've given it up as a bad job for these last two years. It's an excellent show but the traffic gridlock at the finish completely spoils the day.Only having two single exits dosen't help!

It was a great day. The old fogies car club I´m in had about 40 cars on the lawn just inside the main gate. T Ford is 100 years old this year so one member had his immaculate T-Ford in pride of place. Don´t know about the Eruofighter but JAS Gripen is some machine. They had 2 Hurcs there, one of which was the one I came back from the first Gulf War in in 1991 (not same crew though). They are still being made apparently (model J). First one flew in 1956!. 2 Spitfires doing a dog fight. The C17 doing 3 point turns on the runway, backwards. Vampire and a Hunter, great stuff. All the old Swedish fighters (not the Viggen though) 50 thousand came which is very good for thinly populated Sweden. Free dubble deckers from the train station in town and about 6 exits, so the end wasn´t so frustrating

Will get some pics up
