My two pence which seems to reflect the general tone - the 1.8T is a light, fast and easy to work on motor. Parts are cheap. The most expensive repair for the average car is a head gasket which isn't all that bad.

The V6 is a smooth cruiser - it's no slouch but it isn't a car I'd be running to if I wanted to make a speed demon on a budget. Belts can be a little pricey if you're paying someone to do them for you.

Not sure anyone responded to you - it's a 1.8K Turbo.
It is so very far from a standard engine. It may technically be a 1.9k now.
