Sorry to read this Jeff. I am a lover of cats and have had the privilege of being owned by a few (they own you, never the vice versa it seems). Every one has been different in attitude.

Goodnight Shadow.

Some great pictures of Shadow; he was lovely and I'm very glad to have met him.

RIP Shadow.
Thanks Stu and thanks for the call,
It really meant a lot to the both of us.

Thanks to everyone for all your kind words, it has made it that much easier to deal with reading all your wishes and support.
God bless.

Thanks Stuart,
That is very true.
They choose us really, not the other way round!
I see it all the time at the rescue centre.
They make it very known to peeps whether they think you are a suitable candidate to go home with.

RIP Shadow

I am sorry to read this Jeff. No wonder you could not sleep last night. What a shock and sad for Ros, yourself and the other furry friends to have to go through.

Thanks Phil,
He wasn't poorly for long so he didn't suffer.

Hope you are on the mend Sir

Sorry to hear this Jeff as others have said they really do become part of your family.

I remember when we left South Africa we could not afford to bring Gunther, our Staffordshire Bull Terrier so he was given free to a good home which to us was just as bad as losing him my dad was particularly distraught as he had picked Gunther up from the SPCA and he always said that the dog chose him. My next tattoo is going to be a portrait of Gunther and our current staffie, Schalk

Thanks Felix,

Our pets really are part of the family and I understand how hard that must have been to leave him behind.
I hope he found as good and as loving home as yours.
