Default yet another minor prob!

yesterday i took my EGR valve of and cleaned it but also the pipe was removed by my friend i dindnt want this to be taken off but thats what friends are for!! it was replaced but the jubilee will not stay on the pipe wen it gets tighter it moves down the pipe and only just holds on.I went for a drive this morning somthing didnt feel right wen i got home the pipe had sliped of the bottom of the connector dont no if this will affect the drive but ever since i took it off and replaced it also hooverd out under the air filter the car seems to have no power watso ever maybe me been paraniod but i need my car to be reliable as the arival of baby daughter is iminant!!!
