Default Phone V Camera

I've got a 8 and a bit mp camera phone. How does this compare to a camera with the same spec?

It doesn't.

MP is ONLY the size of the image. Says nothing for the quality, a lot of which comes down to the lens.

Plus, more pixels on the same size sensor = more noise.

Depending on which phone you have some are very good now however still not as good as a proper camera. At the end of the day the more light entering the lens the better the pic and all phones only have tiny lenses.

I used to have one of those many moons ago..... Russian IIRC. Fantastic for pics if you have the time or the knowledge to set it correctly for each pic..... I like point and shoot now.... I took this pic at 1am in the morning in the summer, Pitch black....... The air bubbles say it all to me....[IMG][/IMG]
