Default More insurance idocracy

Have my 45 insured on my name and the 75 on my wifes name-she was able to get more evidence of NCB from our South African insurance. Both insured on international drivers licence for around £550. Got our licence converted to full UK, with caravan, motorbike etc. We are both past our mid 40's,teachers in a "safe" area and have held licences for 25 years plus. Phoned Post office to inform them of the updated licence-they put our insurance up 300%.

After a lot of shouting and please explain why- We were told it was because we had only held a licence for a month or less. So an international licence is now worth more than a British licence ????

The ombudsman thought we were mad and asked us to explain it very slowly again. Although he is now dealing with it, Post Office are adament they are correct and gave us 12 hrs to confirm before they cancelled the policies.
