Default Sad decision but the right one ......

Myself and the family are off to sunny Pickering Yorkshire tomorrow for a week of R & R , caravan on a working farm , the sad decision is I have decided to leave the ZT tucked up at home in the garage , I really wanted to take it but I never seem to relax when we go for a day out and I leave the car parked up for hours on end , just dont fancy coming back to it scratched and dented , we took it to Devon last year and got away with it no problems at all law of averages says this time it could go horribly wrong so its a week running around in a xsara picasso but hey this time tomorrow I will be celebrating my 56th birthday at the White Swan in Newton upon Rawcliffe supping some Timothy Taylors Landlord BUT I wont be worried about the car .
Its areal shame I have to do this but its a sign of the times we live in I suppose.....

Not criticising here bud,but is that not a little extreme? You can't wrap it in kid gloves , that being said,if I could afford to,I would buy a cheap car to run as a daily driver and keep, the 75 for holidays and shows. Hope you have good weather.

Cool

Have fun Steve. And a very Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

Gosh I vaguely remember being 56. Beer was only 1/3d a pint.

You are probably right but when the paint costs silly money per litre and the car gets written off sometimes kid gloves are needed and another thing is I drive it 5-6 days aweek and sometimes I take it for granted but I know when I get back it will feel so different to the french shed I would have been running around in for the last week it will feel like a rocket ship

I remember that price too, but would that not make you about 110

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I can understand your concern, many years ago a friend bought a Ford Mustang and spent a lot of cash having it airbrushed with a view of the New York skyline, and then wouldn't go anywhere in it unless he could keep an eye on it.
