Default Mileometer err

Since changing the light switch the sign err comes up on the mileometer indicator. Unfortunately I don't have the original light switch. Is there any way of getting rid of the err!!

The light switch contains the mileage information and needs a T4 to change it.

I believe you need a virginised LSM, and then it has to be coded to the car using a T4 or toaf. The err is being caused by a vin mismatch between the IPK and the LSM. Pop Trikey a message, me provided me with a virginised LSM last year.

Not terribly sure about the need for a viginised LSM, seem to remember an owner in Helsinki managing it with Toaf, perhaps Brian, Phil or BigRuss can clarify.

Xenon or none xenon LSM? (Does it have the headlight height adjuster wheel?) I can sort you out an LSM, code in the VIN and the mileage and send it you if you cover postage . Postage is just under a fiver with hermes 1-2 days.

Nowt really Don, simply sit back and await the postman calling

You would programme an LSM with the partial VIN of 5D33344*, and set the mileage store within the LSM at zero and the IPK will automatically update the LSM mileage store to the correct mileage after 63 miles.

Easy if you have the right gear

Brian

*just the job for a quick fix
