That looks nice and shiny Brian. I noticed the sign on the wall ‘detailing. You not paying for shininess are you? Mind you, mine could do with a good clean.’

It's not my car David, it belongs to Heather "BoroRover"

The lad shines up rather well, I do like the look of R40 in darker colours, Copperleaf is on of my favourite Mk1 colours

I know what you mean about darker colours. I just wish that Rover did Nightfire Red on the 75. The 220sd I had was that colour and wherever I parked it when it was sunny, people would always say how nice it was. A bit like Firefrost..........but better. In my opinion of course.

Took the 75 to the builders merchants to buy a couple of rolls of felt and galvanised clouts to repair the shed roof. The waterproof is no longer on the existing and my spares and tools are in danger!!!! Just need a sunny, calm day now! Yeah, right! I hate ladders! My feet end up like a budgie's claws! I paid extra for the "15 year" felt so it will no doubt outlast me if it actually does what it says on the packet!

I have to do something similar to the garage Mike, its leaking like a sieve, I have had a quick look and the roof is covered in a layer of moss. That will be the first job when the weather improves - remove the green stuff and see what lies underneath.

I drew the line at the garage a couple of years ago. Cost me a grand with new boarding, soffits, fascias and downpipes! Ouch!

Two guys came, stripped off the old and refitted the new in less than half a day! Worth the money just to see it really. No Health and safety, just wham, bang and done!

I've been half a day doing the side of the shed that faces the storm, with a temporary fixing of the other until the weather clears again. The head said finish it but the feet, knees and back said "No!" It's coming over very black and the winds getting up again, so glad I stopped when I did!
