Default removing windows without power

is it possible to remove the front passenger and drivers windows without power?

Could new holes be drilled in the door to access any bolts?

been and seen a car with good condition glass but I don't think I will be allowed to supply 12v to the car.

From the Haynes manual I need power.

If the window is in the up position, the bolts are accessible through the proper access holes

that is great news, yes windows are up.
Thank you Brian. I may go and get the glass tomorrow as it looked to be in very good condition.

If it is a scrapper Ian just cut the cables and jump them from a battery and you can power the window to any position you want.
I made up a plug to do this - scrap doors are easier to carry with the windows down.

thanks Mike I got them both out but am none the wiser on the correct method and could have removed all sorts in error.
They are really nice as they are unscratched.

If you require removal of your rear screen without power, simply allow some drunkard on their way home from the pub to deposit an empty beer bottle handily on your back seat

Now that's what I call convenient access to the car in the event of leaving your key in the boot

Perhaps they should get a job at the local club, they are obviously well qualified Barstewards.

Ho hum, now to wait for Mrs MB's return, I may nick her car to head south to see the Lincs Dave man of rear screenness
