Battery going flat overnight
Hi all, don't know where to look next, something is pulling about 3 amps with nothing on in the car ie all lights off and only bonnet open. I have pulled all the underbonnet fuses and relays one at a time and it makes no difference to the reading.
Battery was fully charged yesterday, this morning it is down to 10volts. I have disconnected the alternator and drain is the same. Any pointers gratefully received. Barry Last edited by blackbar; 27th August 2015 at 11:07.. |

You need to pull the fuses from the passenger side fusebox to identify the circuit responsible, then you'll know were to look.

I then realised that the car had to "shut down" to get a proper reading. Unless I have not disconnected the alternator correctly ( Red wire ) then I guess the battery is discharging itself over night (if thats possible ), a trip to a garage round the corner for a battery check up is next. tanks all for your suggestions. I'll let you know what the outcome is Barry |

When batteries go it tends to be sudden rather than slowly fading away.
