Default Membership for the Lux meet

Help,

Does anyone know what this is about? I received this today by mail:

Hi nochmal / once more

Alle Mitglieder des Club Seventyfive werden gebeten, Ihre Clubausweise (Members Card) mitzubringen. Wofür? Wird noch nicht verraten!

All members of the Club Seventyfive are kindly requested to keep their members card with you. Why? Be surprised!

Gruß / Regards

Gert

I don't have a membercart but paid contribution and donation a while ago.

Regards Ralph

Hi Ralph,

I found this on there site, it might be something to do with it ?

www.r75.info

------------------------
Important information for all participants of the 2nd International Rover 75 Meeting!!!

When you will arrive to one of the recommended hotels you will get a special key ring. Pleas insure that you will keep this key ring with you during the whole event. It is your personal access authorisation to all locations of the meeting! May be that some people will appear that haven't announced and with those key rings we can be sure that nobody will participate without paying the fee.
Those of you who will not stay in one of the recommended hotels or those who will arrive on late saturday or on sunday will get their key ring after getting in touch with a member of the planning committee (mintman, ernst, hitzi, js, scotty, fuerst48, hajott, gert).

We hope you will understand this procedure, this will keep our event in good stead.

We wish you all a nice and safe travel to Luxemburg.

The planning committee

Hi there

there two different organisations:

1. The community of The Ultimate Rover 75 Website
2. The Club Seventyfive a.s.b.l.

The club owns the website The Ultimate Rover 75 Website and pays the webhosting for that site. The Club is situated in Luxemburg (where else???) and is the legal basis for organsiing such events like Luxemburg.

The club actually counts about 80 members and is a non profit and charitable club. The members have to pay an annually membershi fee.

The message you mentioned was sent to remember the members of the club not to forget their members cards. Thats all and nothing to worry about.

We would be very pleased to tell you more about the club and what are its aims in Luxemburg.

Regards

Gert

Hi Mike,

it is never too late for something good!
Let's talk about this in Luxemburg, ok?

There is nothing that non-members will miss at our meeting. No special benefits or something like that! You may compare it with users on your website (like me) and subscribed members (like you). Nothing else.

Nevertheless we are appreciated to everyone who wants to beaome a member of Club Seventyfive.

BTW: The annual members fee is only 7,50 EUR per person and that is not enough to pay all the costs we have. You will see and understand what I mean in Luxemburg.

See you soon!

Regards

Cheers for the info Gert

If you can let me know the paypal address I will sign up today - you run a great club which is well worth supporting and helping to keep running.

Mike

Thanks for you replies. You were right Ken, I was confused.

Gert: I'm a newbie so I'll pass for now. Maybe in the near future when I have seen more of your club. Anyway, thanks for your invitation. For now I'm loyal to this club and having great fun on this forum.

I understand now why I received the mail.

Do we also have to keep something with us as members of the 75 and ZT Owners Club??? Why? Please do surprise us!

Cheers, Ralph
