NAVALL 3 lossless playback.?

While I wait for my Navall 3 which is way I have been told, can anyone tell me if this unit will play lossless (FLAC/APE) music files or do they have to be converted to MP3

It plays FLAC
MP3, WMA, AAC, RM, FLAC

Installed my NAVALL3 today and it will NOT play FLAC, do I have to use another player instead of the default.

OK just checked it plays FLAC from the SD card, but not from the USB. Will try a hard drive later.

hard drive works fine, however the default music player really sucks...the user interface is the worst I have come across. Not being a android person what recommendations are there for a good FLAC music player.
