They don't take holidays

I only used one once, because the tills were queuing and staff beckoned me to them and helped feed me through one.

Tesco, other day, the manual till I used, the operator was dashing back and forth from her till to the auto tills.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

So logically, if you have more people with less shopping you would need to change the checkout system to cope with it hence, more and more self checkouts appearing. Just a thought.
I notice a lack of the small trolleys during the Friday and Saturday rush, we only do a regular any day shop, so never need a large one. The smaller/ shallower ones don't cause quite so much reaching.

Like i said i think you'd struggle to make that link, turnover could change for all manner of reasons.

That's a very good point about the reaching Harry. Sometimes on the manned check outs the lazy staff scan the goods and hardly push them down the slide..

Today we took a trip to Aldi, which I turned into a trip to collect some suitable drinks into stock. This Aldi uses the coin (or token) basket and I adapted a token so it would fit, via a tiewrap onto the house key. There were no shallow trolleys, but someone was returning one with a pound coin so I gave him a pound for it. I hate the messing about unclipping the tokens before you can use them in a trolley.
