That's what I mean. I've only been on this forum a week or so and there's loads of stuff on that page that's not relevant. Haven't seen that moved as quick. Funny that isn't it.

Told ya lol.
I agree though, can't stand narrow minded people. Some countries are still in the dark ages.

If you remember that programme Stephen Fry made, Russia's attitude to gays is bad enough but nowhere near as brutal as some African countries.

Personally I couldn't give a toss about anybody's sexuality, religion, what ever as long as they aren't trying to convert me!

Yeah I remember that programme. I didn't realise how accepting this country is compared to . others . As long as the straights don't try and convert me then I'm happy. I don't do religion so not being converted to that either haha

The trouble is awful prejudice is also a problem closer to home, generally the older generations, they tend not to see it as the norm whereas my generation (the 18-25 year olds) hardly take notice of it. This means that many parents are still not accepting of the sexuality of their children.
My ex partner got kicked out of his home for being himself and convincing his mother to accept it was more than a challenge, and he ended up ending his own life because of it.
I'm just glad I got the silent treatment for a few months when I told my mother.

Maybe you should go there and find out first hand, or do you believe everything you see on TV... And if they are as you say they are maybe do something about it there.

I'm 24 myself but luckily I've never had any problems with being gay but yeah it is a lot of the older generation not accepting of it. The programme was a documentary and I do believe everything I saw last night. Russia isn't getting a bad name for nothing you know. That's what's going on there. I meant surely every straight Russian person isn't as bad as that but the majority do seem to be.

I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted by what I saw last night. Being gay or not is irrelevant to how you feel about what's going on there. I'm not gay but my brother in law is and I have quite a few gay friends. It's ignorance and being scared and I guarantee that some of the so called hunters are gay themselves. My grandparents escaped Russia as young Jews Looks like the place hasn't changed.
