So much for the Spitfire flypast, got cancelled as it was too windy for them to fly and land at Penzance airfield. Don’t know how boys in blue coped in WW11.

Finished some gardening & had a nice cool shower. Anglian window guy has gone & the jobs still not finished


He's sealed underneath the window but they sent him out with the wrong hinge to replace the broken one.


Another Old el Paso rice meal with tortillas etc.

Dunno about dinner yet, haven’t decided where we’re going, no end of restaurants around here, just minutes walking time from the centre of the city. Achieved two ambitions, a proper Italian pizza and proper carbonara. Ging bought so many souvenirs we ended up getting another case

Had a great time but we were in no way prepared for how hot it would be, especially the last couple of days. 28 degrees with the sun almost directly above so few chances of finding shade unless you are in the little back streets. Bought a hat, straw trilby. Probably look a right tw@t but it does help

Home tomorrow evening, looking forward to two things, seeing the girls (they’ll be hysterical!) and sleeping in my own bed!
