It's pretty darned hot here too - around 28°- but there's quite a gusty wind which is taking the edge off the heat.

Begger! We got two minutes of rain & that's yer father.

I've been having a laugh & a reminisce of the days of reliant three wheelers, My first jobs carpark was full of these in 1968
Especially the Mk VI

I was an apprentice tool setter in a local engineering firm & it was the identical place as the image from the film 'Saturday night Sunday morning' with Albert Finney.

I had to set up the lathes for different tooling. First wage for 40 hours £4.10/-

Any way getting back to the three wheelers (I've had a few sherries) My foreman lived down the bottom of the street from my older brother & me (worked at the same place) and he used to offer us a lift into work (walking in clogs was reet hard I tell thee) He used to call at the newsagents every morning for a newspaper & his pipe tobacco but the bleddy thing never started after being turned off So it was up to my bro & me to push start it every day, same going home in the evening

The sound of this 1961Reliant Regal VI van brings the memories back.

Cool

Had the lot today. Blue sky, then dark clouds, then the rain came first as a fine drizzle then heavy rain and finally blue sky. Now we have a perfectly clear sky.

Had a nice pork pie salad with new potatoes and blue cheese dressing.

A Henry Weston has just appeared and seems rude not to drink it.

Nothing but blue skies here today, the only downer is the farmer is spreading fresh 5hite on the field net to our house, it absolutely stinks to high heaven.

I'm hoping the wind is in an Easterly direction tomorrow to take the smell away form us.
