Remove the white clip from the threaded bar and attempt to open the door from the inside

Oh shizzz..

I really hope you are not in the same position as I was when a similar thing happened to me.

Lock was totally stuck in deadlock mode, and when this happens, the only way to release it is to prize the cover off the door lock from above, and manually release it.

If you have a search about from posts by me with this issue, and google also, there is a guy who did the same on a Landrover (same lock) and posted up a guide.

Fingers crossed it is NOT the same issue, but it sounds AWFULLY similar.

Still, with this forums knowledge, you will be right in no time.

EDIT:- I ended up removing the bolts that hold the locks plastic case on, then you can smash the case off with a screwdriver, then you see most of the physical parts of the lock, and you can pop the door open with a tool after MUCH MUCH fumbling, swearing, and rage.

Watershedder will need to come off, as well as removing the window glass too, makes it possible to get the access you need. With the glass in, I think its 99.99% impossible, unless you happen to be David Blaine.

As Ross says there is the unusual situation that he found himself in and I believe that was a first. In every other case it was a matter of REMOVING the white clip from the threaded bar ( it unclips from around it) and this allowed the door to be opened from the inside, and yes with the clip connected it does appear that you can move all the levers but the door will not open.
