... Looks like everyone had a great time and you all did the club proud.
Great to see you all there. Nice to put faces to the names, as it were, and I think I managed to make a few good friends on the way. Thanks a lot to all of you for coming to visit us clogies and one or two expats, and have a safe onward trip homewards.

Default Journey home

Hi all,

Myself and a few others are aiming to set off around 10am tomorrow and make a steady direct run to the eurotunnel crossing, to ensure we arrive on time. Rather be an hour or se early than miss our shuttle time.

If anyone else wants to tag along let me know and we can meet in the carpark tomorrow morning ready for 10am and head out together.

Default Home safe

Relaxing on the sofa now with deanna after having some dinner. Had a very clear run home from Folkstone, dartford crossing was surprisingly clear.

The old trusty typhoon done very well across the whole trip and even
achieved great mpg, filled up at sainsburys in folkstone on friday morning and done 470 miles since then with 1/4 tank of fuel still remaining, dont think i've ever got much more than 500 miles out of a tank before.

What a fantastic weekend it has been, its been a weekend full of laughter and spent with fantastic company. Us following trikey with confidence in France and ending up going round in circles and getting lost due to his drunk satnav, having to rescue a lady who got her mobility scooter stuck whilst offroading, and marinabrian's new fashion sense being some of the funniest moments.

As brian said in his post, it really has been less about the cars and more about the people on this trip. The time spent with friends is what myself and deanna have taken away most from this weekend.

We weren't individuals with a common interest in mgs and rovers, we were a family looking out for each other, and some of the incidents that happened during this trip showed how much we care for each other.

Myself and deanna would like to say a very big thank you to Ian, Jan, Trikey and anyone else who was involved with setting up this trip. It has been absolutely fantastic and we cant wait to do it all again some time

I can only echo Ricks moments, Karen and I had a fantastic weekend with some great company and some wonderful new friends have been made, a big thanks to Ian and Andy as this was their baby.
A big thanks to Brian for plugging his T4 in and sorting a couple of things out, a big problem was identified with the starter motor which is going to get replaced.
My car too has covered over 550 miles and still has over a quarter of a tank of fuel left 😀😀
Holland is a beautiful place with some very friendly people and a long weekend in the not too distant future is planned.
