In any case, the cheap ones such as the one in the boot of my car (which is sold under many different names) have been tested when new and the readings are shall we say inconsistent across samples. But for a wheel nut it serves the purpose.

As good as they are, but I personally wouldn't use an Aldi battery charger on a wheel nut.

... or the odd occasion to give a maintenance charge to the ride-on lawnmower battery.

Gah, it must only be suitable for Metric wheelnuts

It doesn't work on these 3/8" UNF ones

Let's not get carried away - I was only intending to make a small allowance for the Messiah. The thought of that charger on my car is already proving stressful!

Brian - I guess you must be using a cheap generic flash from Aldi. Try a Metz next time!

PS did you drive onto some doggy poo or is that a cheap charger under the wheel?

Cheapo charger or cheapo torque wrench on the wheel bolts hmmmm think I’d rather the battery didn’t charge properly than a wheel come off whilst driving lol

A quick Google search on these ctek chargers easily brings us a common 'Mode Button' fault/failure.

Maninder, You may want to save this vid to your favourites for future reference.
