Thanks for supplying yours stocktake.

So in theory, the potential number of Wedgwood launch cars all of the same spec (assuming there weren't any other models rolling off the production line intermingled with them) is 102346-100886 = 1,460 so far....
In 1998/1999 Rover Cars had approx 300 dealerships, so thats a lot of cars per dealer..

It actually works out at about 5 cars per dealership, that doesn't sound too implausable does it?

Five demo 75's per dealers sound A LOT. But do also keep in mind that they did export some too! Never heard of any special demo-spec 75's here in Finland, but then most of the early ones are Club or Classic spec, due to our tax system at the time. There is a fair amount of 1999 cars around here though.
I don't think they would have built 1500 exactly the same spec cars in one go.

I was thinking, 5 cars per dealer all the same colour, same spec.

I seem to remember looking at the first 75 to arrive at JCT 600 Wakefield, it was a Dorchester Red Connoisseur SE with Aubergene interior.

I was a regular visitor to the above garage during the early days of the 75 being completly in love with the 75 and I dont recall many Wedgewood Blue models, although there was at least one.

My particular favourite at the time was Moonstone Green, even so I never bought one that colour.

I worked for a Rover dealer at the 1999 launch, the other cars that were in the launch stock were Rover 2.0 CDT Club SE in Zircon Silver, Traction Control & the Rover 1.8 Club SE Atlantic Blue/Sandstone Cloth, Odour Filters, rear blind I think? The main was when the 90 days after registration the car were able to be sold but every dealership had the same.

I remember having to purchase the dealer Rover 75 launch packs with the Piper Heidsieck Champagne (not much of this went to the customers Hic Hic) Rover 75 Key Fobs/Pens/Serviettes. New display stands which weighed the earth.

Did anyone go else go to the Rover 75 Dealer Launch at Chateau Impney @ Droitwich?

Rob, any luck with your neighbour's car getting some pics or a VIN number / reg plate to see if it's a launch car after all?

I found two more Launch 75's on ebay today:

Registered on 22nd October 99

And

Registered on 9th December 99

That makes a total of 5 so far all with the same slightly abnormal Connoisseur / SE spec.

Coming up by mileage if not already done for Timing Belts so quite an additional cost to add.
